Daily Star Pay as you go MasterCard Review

The Daily Star Cash Card is a Chip & PIN Prepaid MasterCard. It's NOT a credit card. You can only spend what you load. It works in the same way as a pay-as-you-go mobile: you top it up with cash. You can use your Daily Star Cashcard wherever you see the MasterCard acceptance mark, including shops, restaurants, online or on the telephone. With your PIN you can also use your Daily Star Cashcard to buy in stores with Chip & PIN terminals and get cash from an ATM. Before using your Daily Star Cashcard you need to make sure there are enough funds loaded on it.

Why get a Daily Star prepaid MasterCard?

You can add money to your Daily Star Cash card using cash at a Post Office or PayPoint outlet. The maximum top up in one transaction is £500. The balance on your Daily Star Cashcard can never exceed £3000 at any time. If you top up by PayPoint you will be charged at 3% per load. So top up at a Post Office Branch or via BACS e.g. Payroll or by standing order is free. The Daily Star have two payment plans either a pay as you go or monthly payment plan to help you budget.

What sort of service do they offer?

You can order your card online. You can pay for the card online using an existing debit or credit card, or you can pay using an SMS text message (for this you will need a mobile phone.) To issue a card we will need your passport number or UK driving licence number, and a delivery address for the card. You do not need a bank account or credit history, and do not normally need to see utility bills.

Now it's even easier to have greater control over your finances with out getting using bank account, with all the same options as a bank account without the worry of going overdrawn. There are no credit checks or complicated questions to get your Daily Star prepaid card account.

Payment plans and prepaid card benefits

With a Daily Star prepaid card has two payment plans either a fixed monthly fee where you do not pay for transaction costs or pay as you go at 2% when using your card. As a Prepaid MasterCard it can be used at 28 million retail outlets and 1.5 million ATM machines.

There is no credit check to get you prepaid MasterCard where your account balance must not exceed £3000.00 and currently the card is only available in GBP (£).

Who can apply for a card?

The Daily Star prepaid card is MasterCard branded card where anyone over the age of 18 years can apply for an account. Online secure application which takes a few minutes to complete, you will require your passport to confirm your identity then pay the £6.50 application fee and you are done.

NO credit checks are done as you are guaranteed to be accepted as long as you pay for your application fee in advance. Have bad credit you can still be accepted.
