Top Holiday Grievances Revealed
More than 16,000 British holidaymakers have taken part in a major study aiming to find out what people deem most annoying on a trip overseas.

The research, carried out by online travel agent On the Beach, found that the biggest bugbear of Brits on a break were beach sellers hawking their wares whilst sunbathers were trying to relax.
This might be something to do with the fact that British workers spend more time at work than other European countries, meaning holiday hours are more prone to being spoiled by small annoyances.
The survey found that the second biggest niggle was people dropping litter, although smoking on the beach wasn’t far behind.
Chief Marketing Officer at On the Beach, Alistair Daly, said: “We all look forward to our long awaited holiday in the sun, so any distractions when we're trying to relax can be very annoying.”
Public nudity scored very low in the ratings, perhaps appropriately coming in bottom of the list with only 1% of respondents citing it as the driving force behind their annoyance.
“We are renowned as a nation of prudes, especially compared to some of our more liberal European neighbours; however our results show that Brits are no longer offended by nudity, so it would seem this stereotype is somewhat obsolete,” Mr Daly explained.
One of the stranger findings of the report was that British holidaymakers label themselves as the most annoying tourist nationality. Only one in ten deemed Germans the most annoying nation whilst abroad and just 2% pointed the finger at the French.
Mr Daly added: “The results also suggest dated opinions of other nations are also dying out, as travel savvy Brits become increasingly relaxed towards holidaymakers from other countries.”
