Orange launches film review web tool
Mobile phone operator Orange is giving would-be film buffs a helping hand this awards season, with the launch of Orange Film Pulse.
As part of its sponsorship of the British Film Academy Awards, Orange has launched Film Pulse to celebrate the start of the movie awards season.
Orange Film Pulse is a new online tool to help you decide which films are most worth a watch, by summarising opinion from across the internet.
Orange Film Pulse collates information from across the internet in one place, scanning tens of thousands of Tweets, Facebook pages and online reviews.
Using a dedicated algorithm, Orange Film Pulse then determines the tone and sentiment from Tweets and Facebook posts, and review scores, to give each film a score out of 100.
“The internet offers an incredible wealth of sources and opinion on film, but that also means the experience of searching for a definitive answer or opinion can be confusing and time consuming,” said Spencer McHugh, Brand Director at Orange UK.
“With Orange Film Pulse, we’re offering a simple and easy way to see what the overall opinion from the web is, and encouraging film lovers to get involved and share their love for film, all of which contributes to that film’s overall score.”
So far, there are 35 films with a profile on Orange Film Pulse, including many of the Bafta nominated titles of the past year.
Orange also recently launched a new prepaid credit card, offering customers a range of rewards. These include Orange shop vouchers and free minutes for pay-as-you-go customers
Orange is currently offering customers a refund on their £5 sign-up fee if they load £20 on to the card by 29th February, but this offer is only available with Compare Prepaid until 31st January.
“We are extremely pleased to be able to offer to all of our prepaid customers this exclusive offer from Orange,” said Raffick Marday from compareprepaid.co.uk.
