Majority miss out on credit card rewards
The majority (70 per cent) of consumers are missing out on opportunities to claim rewards from their credit cards, a new survey has discovered.
The research, by Airmiles, also reveals that over half (55 per cent) of the 30 million credit card holders in the UK have cards which don’t actually give them any rewards for spending at all.
On average, consumers spend £1,700 each year on credit cards that do not yield rewards.
Of the credit card holders who do have reward cards, 58 per cent fail to maximise their value.
Rewards can come in the form of air miles, Cashback or points to put towards high street shopping.
