Luxury holidays for Barclaycard Freedom clients
A new partnership between Barclaycard and two luxury travel brands has created a new range of holiday offers, destinations and discounts for Barclaycard Freedom’s customers.
Barclaycard Freedom, the loyalty scheme from Barclaycard, is working with two new TUI (formerly Touristik Union International) Specialist Holiday Group brands. In this case, ‘Sovereign Luxury Travel’ and ‘Hayes & Jarvis’ have become the latest companies to join the Barclays loyalty programme.
Barclaycard holders will benefit from a limited time offer where they can earn 2% (instead of the standard 1%) on all eligible purchases. This will run until 31st December 2011.
Barclaycard Freedom also said that its deals and discounts, currently on offer from Sovereign Luxury Travel and Hayes & Jarvis, will be available for users who access them via the popular mobile phone voucher service, ‘vouchercloud’.
“Since the launch of Barclaycard Freedom just over 18 months ago, we have committed to providing our customers with a range of special offers across a breadth of interests. I am sure cardholders will take advantage of these new offers in the future as they look to get away on their holidays," said Richard Wergan of Barclaycard.
Travel reward money
Since the Barclaycard Freedom scheme was launched last July, it has aimed to provide families with 10% reward money on their summer spending.
The loyalty scheme from Barclaycard aims to help families out during the long summer holidays where spending can be quite a strain on purse strings, especially when the cost of living is already a struggle. Eligible Barclaycard holders simply earn their reward money automatically at participating retail outlets.
Aside from credit cards, there are other financial products which can also help Brits to save money while on holiday. Good examples of these are travel money cards, which are a type of prepaid card that include interesting deals and conditions on overseas expenditure.
