Fraud warning for credit card owners
One in ten people with credit cards are risking being victims of fraud by writing down their PIN or sharing it with someone.
A new survey from Which? reveals that 4 million people with debit cards and 3 million with credit cards are putting themselves in danger of being conned.
Just over a third (36 per cent) of people had their PIN written down at home, whereas another one in three kept a note of it in their wallet or handbag.
The vast majority (86 per cent) thought that any money they lost this way would be refunded, but in reality, credit card firms and banks may not provide compensation if they discover the PIN details were not kept secure.
