Credit card offers show signs of growth
The latest figures for the numbers of credit cards being offered to people through the post has shown a marked increase on the previous quarter, despite the recession.
That's according to a new study, which claims that providers of credit cards increased offers by post by nearly 50 per cent in the last quarter of 2009.
The total number of offers came to almost 400 million, an increase from the 273 million seen previously.
But there is still some way to go before the figures compare to pre-recession levels, where there were around 668 million offers for cards before the start of the credit crunch in 2008.
