Credit card balance transfers buoyant
It appears that the credit card market is still in good health despite the recession, new research shows.
The figures come from the Yorkshire / Clydesdale Bank, who reveal that there are currently 71 0 percent balance transfer deals available for people.
Whilst the number is still a little short of the pre-recession figure of 80 deals, it is a huge recovery compared to last year’s figure of 52.
However, banks are being tighter with the amounts they let you borrow on your credit cards. Even people with spotless credit records are unlikely to be offered as great a limit as previously.
Those with less impressive credit histories are even more likely to be turned down now.
