More cash withdrawal locations for RBS Group cardholders
RBS Group customers are now able to make cash withdrawals and balance enquiries at any of the 11,800 Post Office branches in the UK.
As the Post Office informs, the 19 million RBS, NatWest and Ulster Bank debit card holders can benefit from a new arrangement that allows these three brands within the RBS Group to access cash via a Post Office.
"This new partnership between the Post Office and RBS Group means that around 80 per cent of total UK debit cardholders can now benefit from the convenience of withdrawing their money - completely free - at any Post Office outlet nationwide,” said Paula Vennells, Managing Director at the Post Office.
As a result of this agreement, all RBS customers will not be charged for the transactions. In addition, withdrawals up to daily individual limits are available and customers only need their debit card and PIN to access the cash.
Being the largest retail network in the UK, the Post Office has more branches than all of the UK high street banks combined.
Improving customer satisfaction
Considering the low rates that major banks – including those within the RBS group - ranked in the latest survey regarding customer satisfaction, the UK's leading high street banks need to learn how to keep their customers happy. Indeed, this latest agreement between RBS and the Post Office might help the group to improve their client services.
In recent research, the consumer watchdog Which? analysed and rated a total of 28 banks and building societies for customer satisfaction. Surprisingly, none of the leading high street banks made it into the top 15.
