Brits willing to spend £4000 on dream holiday
The continuing pessimism concerning all things financial in the UK means that more Brits than ever are dreaming of a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to get away from it all.

The downside is that one in five people would need to save for over two years to be able to afford it and more than a third think that they will never be able to save enough money to cover the cost.
New research from Tesco Travel Money reveals that an around-the-world trip remains the top choice, with 45% respondents citing this as their dream holiday should they be able to scrape together sufficient funds.
A further 26% of people surveyed said that travelling to a unique location was their idea of an ideal ‘no expense spared’ break, with relaxing on a luxury cruise (21%) and staying in a five-star hotel (22%) being the next most popular.
Doug Gowan, Head of Travel Money at Tesco Bank, commented: “The ongoing difficult economic climate means that taking a holiday requires careful consideration and planning.
“It is hugely important to make sure your money is going the extra mile abroad and you are getting the best deal available on foreign currency.
“Shopping around for the best deal is essential as prices vary from one provider to another, and commission-free deals don't always mean you are getting the best price.”
The continuing economic crisis and the increasing weakness of the pound are both major concerns for holiday planning and almost half of British holidaymakers take into account what the value of their money will actually be at their destination, according to the research.
In addition to comparing the market when it comes to buying travel money, a prepaid card may also be worth consideration. Since currency is loaded onto these before jetting off to foreign climes, these can really help you stay on top of your budget whilst overseas.
