Barclaycard Freedom for Summer Spending
A new credit card offer is being launched for the Barclaycard Freedom, which aims to provide families with 10 percent reward money on their summer spending.
The loyalty scheme from Barclaycard aims to help families out during the long summer holidays where spending can be quite a strain on purse strings, especially when the cost of living is already a struggle.
Between Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th July shoppers will be able to take advantage of the unique offer and earn 10 percent Reward Money on all purchases nationwide.
The offer enables consumers to earn 10 percent on everything from petrol and magazines at retailers such as Shell, to pizzas at PizzaExpress. Even those using their card abroad on their summer holiday will be able to earn money on their spending.
“As economic conditions continue to create a pinch on shoppers’ wallets this is an ideal time to launch our 10 percent promotion and give consumers a helping hand during the longest holiday period of the year,” said Richard Wergan, Barclaycard spokesman.
“With no registration or new card needed, we hope this will encourage other Barclaycard holders to take advantage of one of the most transparent loyalty programmes on the market.”
The rewards system is unique in that shoppers earn money instead of points, so they can spend it on anything and are not limited to vouchers.
Eligible Barclaycard holders will simply earn their reward money automatically at participating retail outlets, and be able to redeem some of their balance or continue saving.
If you are keen to save money this summer, or you want to ensure you do not overspend and get into debt, then a prepaid card could be a good alternative to a credit card. The user can only spend the money they load onto the card so it is a good aid to summer budgeting.
