The Barclaycard Prepaid Card is a pay as you go Visa card which can be used to disperse funds. It acts as a convenient, simple and secure replacement to the traditional use of cash or cheques.
The prepaid visa card provides security for the funds loaded to it, and eliminates the need to pay for cheque-cashing services, which can be expensive. Cardholders then have the ability to use their card wherever Visa is accepted, to withdraw cash (subject to a maximum daily limit of £250), and to shop online or over the telephone.
The barclaycard prepaid card is only available to people who wish to have their wages paid on to the card, it can only be loaded by your employer and no additional top ups are allowed. The Barclaycard pay as you go card has no monthly subscription fees and no transaction fees when using in the UK.
When withdrawing cash from an ATM it is best to use a Barclays branch as it is cheaper at only £0.75, you will be charged more if it is not a Barclays branch.
