On-xcard Review
Overview
The On-x card is the newest flexible ‘pay-as-you-go’ Maestro® card. It can be used at over 9 million retail outlets worldwide. Anyone over the age of 18 can get one; once you have paid the activation fee it takes approx 7 - 10 days for your card to arrive.
Main Good Points
The on-x card is a new pay as you go prepaid card, which only costs £6.99 to get, The card fees are very fair compared to some prepaid cards
Bad Points
Only bad point I can see is that you have to pay postage and packaging, even when you add this on top of the purchase of the card it is still only £8.98 to get your card.
Service
The customer service level is exceptional as expected. Calls to Customer Service cost only £0.06 from a BT landline or you can use the online facility.
Card Features
On-x currently offer additional benefits when you use your card,
10% cashback discount with Virgin experience days and Gear4
also additional discounts with Betfair and Edworthys.
Application Process
The form takes an average of a minute to complete with an easy step by step guide and as you would expect secure website protection, make sure you have a form of ID before you start either your passport (digital passport no required) or UK driving licence. Once you completed the form you can either pay online or On-x will send you a letter in the post for you to pay via the post office, or online with your debit card.
Using Abroad
The On-x prepaid card is very flexible able use worldwide including getting your cash via ATM’s. This is a safer alternative then carrying cash when going on holiday.

Cost of loading cash onto the ON-X Card is £0.50 at Post offices, direct debit or online bank transfer fee is £0.50. The minimum load is £10.00 maximum single load is £500.00.
