Who can apply for this credit card?

You must be over 18, a UK resident and have a landline phone number to get a Halifax MasterCard credit card. We recommend you have your salary, banking and employment address details to hand to avoid any delays in applying.

If you only make the minimum payment it will take longer and cost you more to clear your credit card balance. You can avoid additional charges by staying within your credit limit and ensure that your payments are received on time.

What is my credit limit?

They will choose your credit limit and tell you what it is. They may vary it at any time and write to let you know. The minimum credit limit that you can have under this agreement is £500.

Where do I make a complaint?

If you would like to make a complaint about your Halifax credit card, you can call them on – 08457 28 38 48 – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They have procedures in place which will make sure they handle your complaint fairly and quickly. However if you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint you can write to Financial Ombudsman Service at South Quay Plaza, 183 Marsh Wall, London E14 9SR.

not to be trusted, they start you off with
14.9%, and even though you pay on time but do not pay all of the bill, and your credit rating is excellence, over time you will end up on 29.9% , complain and they say if you don’t like it pay off the balance and go elsewhere because they were not going to return to the original A.P.R.
