To get an egg credit card you need to be a UK resident aged 18 or over.
We recommend you have your salary, banking and employment address details to hand to avoid any delays in applying for a egg card.

What is the minimum payment I need to make each month?
The full outstanding balance if it is less than £5, but otherwise the greater of
(1) £5 or
(2) 2% of the Revolving Balance or
(3) interest plus repayment protection premium;
plus for Transfered Balances made during any promotional periods the greater of
(1) £5 or
(2) 2% of the Transfered Balance.
If you only make the minimum payment it will take longer and cost you more to clear your balance.
Egg credit card - Repayment Plan option?
What if you're unable to work through accident, sickness or unemployment? Your Egg Card monthly repayments will still have to be met, and card repayment protection could help.
For a monthly fee of 79p per £100 of your statement balance, Egg Card repayment protection could pay a monthly benefit of one tenth of your outstanding balance until you return to work or for up to one year. Additionally, in the event of your death or diagnosis of a serious illness, your outstanding balance could be paid in full. If your balance is zero, you will pay nothing.
Where do i make a Complaint?
Egg make it as painless as possible if you do. they have an internal complaint escalation process that fully complies with the requirements of the Financial Services Authority
First of all, let them know what is wrong or what it is that you're unhappy with. You can tell them all about it by calling 08451 233 233 or, if you're an existing customer, by sending us a "secure message" via the Egg website
If after the first step, your complaint has not been resolved to your satisfaction, it will be escalated to our Customer Relations Office. They will acknowledge your complaint promptly, no later than five business days from receipt of your complaint, by phone, post or email

Your right to cancel?
You have a right to cancel this Agreement. This right will expire 14 calendar days after we post the card to you. Unless you cancel within this period you will be bound by this Agreement. If you wish to cancel the Agreement, please send written notice to Egg, Customer Services Department or call them on 08451 233 233 If you cancel you will still need to repay any money already lent to you. Unless you repay this money in full within a month of cancellation, you may be required to pay interest or other charges under the terms of this Agreement.
The Consumer Credit Act 1974 lays down certain requirements for your protection which should have been complied with when this agreement was made. If they were not, we cannot enforce the agreement without getting a court order.
The Act also gives you a number of rights:
1) You can settle this agreement at any time by giving notice in writing and paying off the amounts you owe under this agreement.
2) If you received unsatisfactory goods or services paid for under this agreement, apart from any bought with a cash loan, you may have a right to sue the supplier, us or both.
3) If the contract is not fulfilled, perhaps because the supplier has gone out of business, you may still be able to sue us.
