I'd not behaved with credit and had found myself on an IVA. Cashplus provided me with the ability to use plastic without the risk of debt. Now off the IVA and doing very well I find my Cashplus card invaluable. On a recent holiday I was able to use my card to secure car hire (they will unlock this for you) and of course it's one of the only pre paid cards out there that have purchase protection. I would recommend this to anyone that is new to credit, has a poor credit history or just wants to be sensible. It's impossible to spend more than you have and you learn to budget better and unlike a credit card where you just spend, spend, spend. Unfortunately as I am not a newcomer I don't believe I can have the £29.99 yearly charge, instead I have to pay nearly £5 if I want free transactions.
