As a Barclays Bank client I can verify that the additions active current account is rubbish. The Home SOS insurance is run on behalf of Barclays by Marsh Ltd, which employs all sort of tricks to frustrate and deny clients of claims. Their complaints process is nothing to write home about so don’t bother. I have removed the additions active element from my current account.

I am a Barclays Premier life account holder and have used the Homesos policy twice. Both times have been a dreadful experience, and have complained numerous times to both Barclays and Homesos and both don’t have a care in the world. I would think twice about this account, it’s really not worth it. I am now in the process of looking for a new bank.
