First Premier prepaid card is not a credit card, which provides you with a line of credit, nor is it a debit card which is linked to a bank account.

This means that with First Premier prepaid card you can't go overdrawn or borrow money– you can only spend the money you have loaded onto it, so you stay in complete control of your money.

The First Premier Card is an electronic money product and although it is a product regulated by the Financial Services Authority, it is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

No other compensation scheme exists to cover losses claimed in connection with the First Premier Card.

How to Pay

Pay now - The fastest and easiest way to pay is by debit card. Make a simple one off payment whilst signing up. Confirmed highly secure website, with card and personal details protected.

Pay later - If you prefer to pay by cash. Choose pay by cash at a Post Office® when you apply. They will send you a letter and in most cases an email. Take it to any of the 12,000 UK Post Office branches to pay. Your card will then be with you in three to five days.
