Prepaid cards act as a valuable tool in helping to manage your finances - some prepaids do appeal to the under 18 (i think minimum age is 14) and have limitations as to where they can be spent. It is worth checking on sites like this to see which one suits best. One that has limits on amount that can be spent, transaction amounts per day and withdrawals, as well as maximum balances is key to helping one manage their finances - especially teenagers!

Hello,
Prepaid cards are great for monitoring what teens spend. I work on behalf of Neon MasterCard Prepaid Card which is one of the safer ways for your teenager to spend, with no chance of going overdrawn and a bar on adult store spending. It is also allows teenagers to earn cash back when they shop at over 1000 of their favourite stores online.

There is more information on the website http://www.neon-prepaid-card.com/foneon

And there is a video which explains how it works http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WZe9ZJs4a0

Prepaid cards are ideal for monitoring and limiting the spending for your children, you can sign up as the main account holder and then issue a second or third card to your children usually a maximum of 4 cards to one account, this way you can see how and what your children are spending money on which is a good way to control internet spending. Alternatively you get them their own card any one Under 18 years will need your consent which still enables you to monitor and control the account – You can see full statements detailing where and when the card was used and how much was spent.
