If you’re a Twitter fan you’ll know you can see the latest thoughts, happenings and ramblings of your friends in real time.
And now the micro social blogging site has taken it one step further. If you want to know what they’ve just whacked on their credit card, or what they just downloaded from iTunes, you can want no longer.
In an invitation-only beta test, Twitter has introduced ‘Blippy’, a service that publishes users’ credit card transactions online.
Users can link a card and accounts at sites like iTunes and Amazon to the Blippy site, which automatically provides a stream of purchases, Twitter style.
Blippy’s details include the name of the person, how much that person bought and where. For Amazon and iTunes, it also shows what was bought.
People can follow the stream and choose to make their purchases private or public.
