ATM usage charges - If you use an ATM machine on a regular basis then opt for a prepaid card with the lowest atm charges. Most of the prepaid cards listed are on a monthly subscription charge basis with one or two exceptions on pay as you go which offer atm withdrawals for under £1.00. or no cost, free atm usage, no charges. Why prepaid cards charge atm fees? This is due to ATM operators, banks and MasterCard and Visa all make a small charge each for providing ATM services - because prepaid cards try not make too many types of usage charges to you they cant absorb this cost and have to pass it on.
