Abbey amends bank account offers
Abbey National and Alliance & Leicester part of Santander will be amending two bank account product offers by the end of this week the bank has announced.
Alliance & Leicester Premier Current Account
As it stands currently anyone who opens an Alliance & Leicester Premier Current Account gets free travel insurance but will receive £100 cash back instead when they switch online. The change in the offer has been brought back due to customer demand, following the success of a similar deal which was issued earlier in the year.
Abbey Reward Account or Alliance & Leicester Premier 50 Current Account
As it stands currently anyone who opens an Abbey Reward Account or an Alliance & Leicester Premier 50 Current Account, there is to be a 50% reduction of the monthly fee price, this has been reduced from £10 to £5 for three months.
Helen Palmer, head of current accounts at Abbey and Alliance & Leicester, said: "By acting now when these offers are available, you could make yourself a tidy saving and be confident in the knowledge that your bank is giving you a good return on your hard-earned cash."
