Visa says cards pass one billion
Visa have reported a 33 per cent increase in second quarter earrings- which surpasses what many people had anticipated following claims that people are using their credit cards less.
They say people are continuing to swap to use digital currency rather than traditional methods of cash and cheques.
This is highlighted in the number of Visa debit and prepaid cards issued globally surpassed one billion for the first time in history-according to end of 2009 stats.
The continuing popularity of prepaid cards highlights the importance of them and how they'll be able to help people manage their finances better in the future.
