Barclaycard launches major reward scheme
Barclaycard's announced it's launching a new rewards scheme for more than eight million cardholders.
Barclaycard Freedom will enable cardholders to earn rewards in shops, restaurants and online retailers across the UK, without having to do anything to join.
Customers will generally get 1 per cent of their transaction back in 'Reward Money' when they use their credit card in participating outlets.
The rewards will be in pounds and pence, rather than vouchers and coupons, and retailers who take part in the scheme will be able to offer their own rewards.
More than 30,000 businesses have already signed up, and the company says the new scheme could help revitalise the high street as well as giving cash back to customers.
