Ryanair announced today that when you pay for flights by a prepaid MasterCard it will be free as from the 1st December 2009.  The previous free way to pay for Ryanair flights promotion with Visa Electron will end on the 31st December and as from the 1st January 2010 there will be an administration charge of Five euros.

The prepaid MasterCard payment will be the only free way to pay for flights with Ryanair due to several reasons, the main reason is that MasterCard is accepted at over 28 million retailers and 1.5 million ATM's worldwide and to fall inline with the launch of their own branded Ryanair MasterCard.

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said

"We are pleased to announce our new partnership with MasterCard which will enable consumers to save even more when travelling on Ryanair’s unbeatable low fares. MasterCard Prepaid Cards are widely available across Europe from financial institutions and online".
