Time is running out for a reduced rate on Sainsbury’s Finance personal loan

November 14, 2011

If you are looking for a personal loan, there is one week left to obtain a reduced rate from Sainsbury’s Finance.

The supermarket is offering a reduced personal loan rate of 6.2% APR Representative on loans between £7,500 and £15,000, until Monday 21 November.

Customers need to have a Nectar card to be eligible for the deal. You will also need to supply your Nectar card number when applying for the loan, which will then be transferred directly into your bank account.

"We're pleased that we are able to offer such a competitive rate to our customers. Customers considering taking out a personal loan should do so now as they have just one week left to take advantage of this market leading rate," said Steven Baillie, Head of Loans at Sainsbury's Finance.

Customers with a Sainsbury’s Finance loan will also get a tailored repayment period of between one and five years, as well as fixed repayments for the entire period of the loan.

Sainsbury’s were the first major British supermarket to open a bank, back in 1997. They currently offer a range of products including insurance, credit cards, savings and loans.

The company was recently given awards for Best Overall Online Provider and Best Online Personal Loan Provider at the ‘Your Money Awards’ 2011.

Sainsbury’s Nectar Credit Card

Sainsbury’s have also launched their new Nectar Credit Card, with a rate of 6.9% APR. Announced last month, the credit card is only available for Nectar card customers and has a no fee balance transfer at the “lowest rate available on any card in the market”, according to the company.

The card also offers 0% for 15 months on balance transfers (3% balance transfer applies), 0% for 6 months on all purchases, double Nectar points for every £1 you spend on your card in Sainsbury's for the first two years and one Nectar point for every £5 spent on your card elsewhere.
