Final countdown to apply for Lloyds TSB Platinum credit card

October 14, 2011

Lloyds has reminded its clients that the period to apply for the Lloyds TSB Platinum credit card, “one of the most cost effective balance transfer cards on the market”, ends on the 24th of October.

Lloyds TSB's 50% refund on balance transfer fees is a limited offer and consumers hoping to apply for it have until Monday 24th of October to do so.

The refunded fee means that even if a customer pays off the balance over 18 months, the Lloyds TSB Platinum credit card “will cost the customer less over this period than the majority of balance transfer card offers on the market today,” according to Lloyds TSB.

The latest Lloyds credit card comes with 0% interest for 15 months on balances transferred within the first 90 days (3% fee), representative 17.9% APR and 0% on purchases for the first 3 months.

The firm claims that the product’s various features and benefits make it “one of the best value balance transfer deals on the market”.

Users who pay their balance in full and on time each month will also enjoy a 56 day interest-free period on purchases from the date of transaction.

“With so much choice when selecting a credit card for a balance transfer it is important for customers to weigh up all the available offers,” suggested Mark Powys, Head of Lloyds TSB credit cards.

Improved mobile service

Following the general trend, Lloyds recently announced an improved mobile banking service that is available across a wide range of Smartphones.

This improved version includes the ability to view account details and balances on Lloyds TSB personal bank accounts, savings accounts and credit cards. Clients can also view the last six transactions on personal, current and credit card accounts from their mobile phones.

With so many financial products offered in the market, comparing credit cards is a ‘must’ if you want to contract the best deal.
