New Lastminute.com Credit Card Launched
Cheap flight provider lastminute.com has launched a new credit card enabling jet-setting shoppers to earn rewards on their spending.
Launched in partnership with MBNA and MasterCard, the new credit card offers a competitive rewards programme so users can earn points on all card purchases.
Purchases made with lastminute.com will also attract a higher rate of reward points – two points per £1 spent compared to one point for every £1 spent everywhere else.
The points can be then exchanged for lastminute.com gift vouchers which can be spent on a range of products available on lastminute.com.
“It’s exciting to have teamed up with MBNA and MasterCard to introduce the lastminute.com credit card to the UK allowing customers to earn privileges and points,” said Fraser Robinson, lastminute.com commercial managing director.
Customers can earn 1,500 lastminute.com points when they spend £250 within the first 90 days of account opening – which is the equivalent to a £15 voucher.
“With privileges and points on offer for a range of activities and experiences available on the website, there really is something for everyone to take advantage of,” added Rajiv Gupta, MBNA director of Affinity Partnerships.
The credit card will offer cardholders zero percent on all card purchases for nine months from the date the account is opened.
For the first six months customers receive zero interest on both balance transfers and money transfers from the date the account is opened – for a 2.5 percent handling fee. The card has a representative rate of 18.9 percent APR variable.
Card holders can also enjoy paperless statements and the option to use contactless payments which allows customers to Tap & Go with MasterCardPayPass to pay quickly and securely for purchases under £15 without entering a PIN.
