Visa credit card fraud risk at terminals
Credit card giant Visa has warned that users of its cards are at risk of fraudsters employing key-logging malware.

There has been an upsurge in attempts to copy credit card users’ details online in recent weeks, the company said.

More alarmingly, a growing number of remote payment terminals have been infected with trojans – similar to the kind that domestic PCs are vulnerable to.

Mickey Boodaei, chief executive of Trusteer, told IT Pro that retailers’ terminals are particularly vulnerable because they are typically provided under service contracts by third parties.

That means that retailers are not responsible for upgrading security systems as they would be with their own IT arrangements.ADNFCR-2939-ID-19707075-ADNFCR
